The Wall Street Journal reports that Sony’s plans to build a new handheld devices to compete against Apple’s iPhone and iPad.
“Threatened by Apple Inc.’s growing stable of portable devices, Sony Corp. is developing a new lineup of handheld products, including a smart phone capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games, according to people familiar with the matter.”
This will be very good for consumers as it seems as if Apple are just going dominate the market for e-readers
While Sony Online will offer much of the same music and video content as iTunes, Sony hopes the availability of PlayStation games will help it gain an edge, the Wall Street Journal reports.
